Shop Blue USA is a people-powered platform built to help you shop your values and support small, progressive-owned businesses.
We started as a few Facebook groups. Now we’re a nationwide network of 52 groups, a public business directory, a boycott alert list, a blue-owned spotlight blog, and more. It’s like if Yelp, Etsy, and your favorite activist friend had a very conscious, very cute baby.
Here’s what you’ll find in our universe:
Local & National Facebook Groups — Connect with makers, artists, and conscious shoppers in your area. Promote your art, brand or just shop! We also use state-specific groups to keep members up to date on local boycotts, protests & events.
The Shop Blue Directory — Browse blue-owned businesses and services by category and location.

Do I have to sign up to take part?
Nope. No gatekeeping here. You don’t need to join our email list to be part of the community. You can head straight to Facebook and search Shop Blue USA or your state-specific group to jump in. Example search: "Shop Blue Ohio".
As a shopper, you also don't need to sign up to use our Directory. All brands and makers are publicly listed for ease of access - even on the go.
Our email list is totally voluntary. BUT—our email list is where we spotlight amazing small brands, share product roundups, exclusive gift guides, giveaways, and info on boycotts, protests and events worth your attention. So if you're down for a little inbox inspiration, we’d love to have you there too!
Who's behind all this?
Shop Blue USA is powered by people—not corporations or billionaires.
It was founded and funded by Brandon Love, a fourth-generation small business owner (and the not-rich kind, thank you very much).
Brandon grew up in a working-class home and now runs a wildly successful, progressive candle and body care brand, Bewilderment.
He’s pouring his own money (not venture capital, not corporate handouts) into building this platform—because he's tired of watching mega brands get away with supporting anti-worker, anti-human policies.
Our team includes volunteers, community moderators, and small business advocates who care deeply about economic justice, accessibility, and shaking up the status quo.
We don’t profit from Shop Blue USA. We’re just a bunch of ragtag, loud-mouthed liberals, progressives & leftists trying to make it easier for good people to buy from likeminded people.

Our mission is still rooted in building thriving, values-aligned communities—so while our Facebook groups remain the heart of real-time connection and daily posts, the directory makes it easier than ever to discover and support blue-owned businesses.
We only collect the info necessary to display listings and share updates (and only if folks opt in). We will never sell your data, and we will never transfer ownership of this movement. It’s built by people, for people—period.

Do I have to be a democrat to join Shop Blue?
Not at all! Shop Blue is for anyone who leans left — that includes Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, certain Independents, Leftists, and anyone who believes in moving the world forward, not backward.
What we don’t welcome: right-wing trolls, intentionally argumentative energy, or folks looking to stir the pot for sport.
This is a space for progress, not pointless drama.
